Kym brings over 30 years of insurance experience to the table. She joined AXA XL in 2013 as the Director of Strategic Operations for the Environmental Team. She later added the Global Risk Management Team and E&S Casualty teams to her areas of responsibility. Prior to joining AXA XL, she was a Regional Operations Director at Arch Insurance where had broad strategic responsibility for a diverse set of teams in the North East and South East regions. In 2018 AXA XL appointed Kym as Interim President of Allied Specialty Insurance. She fell in love with the amusement industry and its people immediately and knew that she wanted to direct her focus solely to the amusement industry. Kym was one of the key players in forming a new Joint Venture with McGowan Insurance, bringing the best of two companies under one roof to better serve the needs of our clients. She is the President of T.H.E. Insurance Company.
Kym is married and has 6 children, yes, 6! Her free time is spent coaching her daughters cheer teams as well as attending wrestling meets and football games for her boys. She is the past board member and Treasurer for Howell AYFC, a non-profit youth sports organization. She is also a volunteer at her local church where she has instructed faith formation. In her downtime, Kym enjoys spending time with family and friends. She loves all beaches with blue water and white sand and can be found on a lounge chair with a good book.
